It is better to have a tutor, because i myself speak french, but it is my first language so, i have been speaking it since i started talking!!!!!
You can practice, but i recommend you get a tutor, because french and english do not have the same pronunciations of words, so it will be hard for a french speaker to understand you!!!!!!!
