Need french-english translation... i'm confused.?

on twitter, someone was trying to say "i need to go grocery shopping" in french and used the phrase:



J'ai besoin d'aller les courses d'epicerie.



then someone else responded to that by saying:

aller aux courses n'est-ce pas?





i don't speak french, but i took it to mean the person was pointing out a grammer mistake in the first sentence. am i correct? if so what is the problem with the first sentence?Need french-english translation... i'm confused.?

France : Faire les courses



courses = epicerie .. he just pointed out he was saying the same thing twice .. like i have to do groceries groceries or something.

The first guy said, "l need to go the grocer's market."



The second guy said, "go to the grocer's market, right?" (the first guy forgot the "to" in his sentence.)Need french-english translation... i'm confused.?

J'ai besoin d'aller faire les courses.



or



J'ai besoin d'aller en courses.



"Aller aux courses" is "going to horse races"



As it is the first sentence is incorrect.
