French-English translation, what does this word mean? Desperate help needed.?

The word was from a French listening task so I'm not exactly sure how to spell it but the sentence was something like "The house is large, but it is 'grable'"

Either grable, gruble, crable something like that but there was definitely a 'rable' (guttural r) sound.

(And yes, agr茅able brings a change. Large is often considered as uncomfortable, and you often use "but" wrongly in French anyway...

If the missing word is " agreable, comfortable ou habitable " then, there is no reason to use the word " but " since " but " brings a change in thought. It must be a word that contrasts the word " large ( grande ).
